Today’s helpful tip for your tush
Today’s post finds me once again talking about the loo. Specifically toilet seats.
An article in medpagetoday.com explains that researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine concluded that five cases of pediatric contact dermatitis were attributable to harsh cleaners used to clean toilet seats. Those harsh cleaners include quaternary ammonia.
The authors went on to suggest that seat covers are a good tool in the fight to keep the skin on our bottoms healthy “It is important to underscore that regular use of toilet-seat covers is the key to success in treatment.”
Seems to me a great solution would be to use more gentle cleaners. That’s my big idea for the day, and I haven’t even attended medical school!
