Extraordinary Measures – Sounds Like Sam’s Story

On January 22nd the movie Extraordinary Measures opens in theaters. It’s a true story of John Crowley (a dad played by Brendan Fraser), inspired by his children’s illness to team up with a scientist (Harrison Ford) to find a solution. This has a striking resemblance in it’s theme to the CleanWell story. In our story, Sam DeAth was driven by his eldest son’s rare health condition to discover a safe, non-toxic way to kill germs. He then teamed up with Dr. Weiss to further develop and introduce the breakthrough chemistry behind CleanWell.

So all of this has got me thinking about who I would cast in the CleanWell movie. Well, in my opinion Jon Hamm would be an excellent choice for Sam’s role. I’m still working on the right fit for Larry (Dr. Weiss). I’m open to ideas!

Hmmmm, agree with your analogy and synchronistic parallels between Extraordinary Measures and Sam’s Story. Jon Hamm would be a fine choice to play Sam and Richard Dreyfuss would be perfect to cast as Dr. Weiss!

Larry’s unique character with off-beat NY grit is smart, witty and genuine. So after careful consideration, my vote is to cast Philip Seymour Hoffman.

    My Case for Argument

1.First and foremost I thought of Hoffman for this roll because of his contribution in “The Big Lebowski” one of Larry’s favorite movies.

    2. There is a bit of resemblance, fair skin, NY attitude, & glasses.

    3. Philip Seymour Hoffman is brilliant!
